COURSE AIMS:

  • To improve basic understanding of logistics terminology and advance concepts regarding maritime transportation management.

  • To develop professional knowledge of logistics, port and terminal operations, cargo marine operations, containerization and modern cargo stowage, and international intermodal.

  • To enhance understanding of importance of security for port and terminals, and maritime security technology.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

The Course Participants Will:

  • Have knowledge about vessel cargo and the role of the ship in integrated transportation systems.
  • Have knowledge about current overview of the maritime industry, what it consists of, how it operates, how it is characterized economically, and how it is regulated.
  • Have knowledge about international maritime organizations and maritime sector of business.
  • Have knowledge about cargo responsibility and fundamental objectives of good stowage.
  • Learn and understand terminal operations and cargo operations procedures.
  • Have knowledge about logistic and maritime industry, shipping trade routes and most popular products.
