Course Aims:
To improve basic understanding of logistics terminology and advance concepts regarding maritime transportation management.
To develop professional knowledge of logistics, port and terminal operations, cargo marine operations, containerization and modern cargo stowage, and international intermodal.
To enhance understanding of importance of security for port and terminals, and maritime security technology.
Course Objectives:
The course participants will:
Have knowledge about vessel cargo and the role of the ship in integrated transportation systems.
Have knowledge about current overview of the maritime industry, what it consists of, how it operates, how it is characterized economically, and how it is regulated.
Have knowledge about international maritime organizations and maritime sector of business.
Have knowledge about cargo responsibility and fundamental objectives of good stowage.
Learn and understand terminal operations and cargo operations procedures.
Have knowledge about logistic and maritime industry, shipping trade routes and most popular products.
