  • 6 Trainees for each class. (Minimum of 6 trainees required for opening of course)

COURSE AIMS:

  • To understand numerous aspects of the marine pollution problems.
    To develop familiarity with regulations & compliance issues according to requirements of international documents.

  • To improve usage of available technologies & strategies for marine pollution prevention.

  • To enhance planning & implementation measures aimed at reducing the risk of serious environmental impact.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

The Course Participants Will:

  • Learn and understand the meaning and purpose of the marine pollution prevention.
  • Have knowledge about abbreviations and definitions regarding marine pollution.
  • Have knowledge about marine environment and pollution sources of marine pollution.
  • Have knowledge about international regulations and conventions for marine pollution sources by ship or land based sources.
  • Have knowledge about the precautions to be taken to prevent pollution of the marine environment.
  • Have knowledge about the use and operation of anti-pollution equipment.
  • Have knowledge about the approved methods for disposal of marine pollutants.
